My career has taken a fairly winding path, and I’ve come to see that as a strength rather than something to explain away. Over the past 20 years, across Pakistan and the United Kingdom, I’ve worked in digital marketing, hospitality, security, and finance before settling into project management, the thread that ties all of it together.

Right now I’m a Project Manager at Madalytech in Karachi, leading cross-functional teams on digital marketing, web development, and branding projects for clients in retail, healthcare, technology, and lifestyle. Before that, I ran front and back-of-house operations for a restaurant group in Cardiff, and spent almost a decade handling recruitment, payroll, tax filings, and vendor relationships in an administration and finance role.

That variety is exactly why I went back to study. I completed my MSc in Project Management at the University of South Wales, added an MBA from Iqra University along the way, and I’m now an Associate Member of the Association for Project Management. I lean on Agile principles to keep projects moving without losing sight of the people involved, and I’m always looking for small process fixes that make a real difference.

I’m currently exploring postgraduate study and project leadership opportunities across Ireland, the UK, and Europe, the next step in a career built on learning by doing and then going back to understand the theory behind it.
